Benjamin C. McPherson III is a native of Fort Worth, Texas and the son of Bishop Benjamin C. McPherson II and Ms. Sheila D. McPherson. More affectionately known as "Ben" he attended schools in the Crowley Independent School District. Ben was an exceptional student of many talents known for his singing, musicianship and acting. He graduated from Crowley High School in the Spring of 2000. Ben went on to study Criminal Justice at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 2005, he became a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Ben was baptized at a young age while a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor F.C. Cunningham. He utilized his gifts by serving in various capacities including musician, drummer, choir member/director, usher, and Sunday School Teacher.

One of his greatest influencers growing up was a Christian neighbor by the name of Ms. Mary Madison who later became his Spiritual Mother. She saw the Pastoral call on his life at a young age, took him under her wings, and exposed him to various denominations. Ms. Madison included him in her Bible teachings and nurtured his talents and abilities.

On January 14, 2001, while yet a member of St. John MBC, Benjamin C. McPherson III preached his first sermon and became a licensed Minister under the leadership of Pastor C.E. Cunningham. In October 2006 he united in holy matrimony with his college sweetheart from Edmond, Oklahoma Qresta Eleby McPherson.  Lady Qresta is a loving wife, spiritual warrior, his chief intercessor, Pediatric Nurse and a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. The McPherson’s are the parents of two beautiful daughters: Lyric Naomi Nicole and Laiyah Michele McPherson. In the same year of their union, Minister McPherson felt the call to Pastor and The Hope Church began to resonate in him.

In 2012, Minister McPherson and his family joined the Inspiring Temple of Praise Church, under the leadership of Bishop Reginald D. Jordan. He faithfully and humbly served on the Ministerial Staff, as a Praise and Worship Leader, Adjutant, Ministry Leader over the Men of Valor Men’s Ministry, and the Director of the Men’s Choir. Minister McPherson’s joyful, compassionate and outgoing personality has always caused him to effortlessly connect with people. He willingly engages in conversations, offers prayers, gives a listening ear and helps others in any way he can. It is not uncommon to find him performing various tasks in and around the church for the betterment of the ministry. Minister McPherson lives out Luke 12:48 knowing that God has given him much therefore much is required.

Minister McPherson challenges the perspectives of believers through his insightful and revelatory preaching and teaching of the Word of God and is passionate about ushering people into the presence of God by way of worship. He believes that worship is the medicine that opens the hearts and minds of God’s people, leading them to a place of healing and deliverance, to better navigate through life’s challenges.

To the non-believer, Minister McPherson spreads the message of hope as it is written in Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one of hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all and in you all.  After almost 20 years of preaching and 14 years of feeling the call to Pastor, Minister McPherson diligently sought the Lord for wisdom, guidance, and instruction and answered the call to lead a Hope Movement.

In the year of 2020 The Hope Church of Tarrant County was formed, under Minister McPherson's leadership. In a year of the Covid-19 pandemic with high mortality rates, sheltering in place, social distancing, virtual church services, business and school closures, layoffs and furloughs, millions of people unemployed, protest for racial injustices, and rioting that spread across the country. Hopelessness was seen through the eyes of people around the world like never before. Hope became the widespread message throughout the news, media and every social media outlet. Thus confirming in Minister McPherson, that the birthing and the need of The Hope Church was all in God’s perfect timing.

Minister McPherson is a firm believer that God does all things well and finds peace, comfort and encouragement in his favorite scripture, Romans 8:18 “For I reckon that the suffering of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

On June 19, 2020 Minister McPherson publicly announced the establishment of The Hope Church of Tarrant County and on August 2, 2020 the first virtual service, known as the Hour of Power was launched airing each Sunday at 5pm. On November 12, 2020, Minister McPherson was publicly recognized as the Pastor-Designate of The Hope Church of Tarrant County by his spiritual covering and Pastor, Bishop Reginald D. Jordan of the Inspiring Temple of Praise Church.
